Everything that can be recycled will be recycled.

“Our greatest stakeholder is our planet. At AMG we are committed to increasing both the CO2 efficiency of our operations as well as the amount of CO2 we enable our end-use customers to reduce by utilizing our products.”

Dr Heinz Schimmelbusch,
CEO & Chairman AMG Management Board

AMG Chrome has earnt a reputation for environmental responsibility, a reputation which extends beyond the manufacture of our products, and the industries they support, and into all aspects of the way we conduct our business.

Two principles of sustainable development remain central to AMG Chrome’s core activities. The first involves servicing the green economy, acting as a key link in the supply chain for the transportation, nuclear, advanced materials and recycling industries, each of which will play a vital role in addressing the ongoing challenges of climate change, waste reduction and pollution elimination.

At the same time AMG Chrome is committed to measuring and minimizing the environmental footprint associated with its own manufacturing operations.

Meet or exceed regulatory standards by engaging in ethical business practices.

Be a valued member of the local economy, community and society by contributing to solutions to address some of the fundamental environmental and social challenges facing society today.

Target industrial activities which either contribute to the reduction of greenhouse gas levels through the circular economy or by arriving at technologies which enable our business partners to reduce greenhouse gas levels and quantify the success of these endeavours.

Specifically, AMG aims to work collaboratively with our stakeholders; conserve water, energy, and ecosystems; reduce all emissions; minimize waste and to support environmental sustainability. The company seeks to identify, measure, and understand the direct and indirect impact of its operations and develop realistic solutions for mitigating those impacts. Additionally, AMG is a member of the United Nations Global Compact and supports the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

AMG Chrome is proud to be a member of the International Chrome Development Association (ICDA), a non-profit organisation which promotes the value and sustainability of chromium metal and represents the chromium industry throughout the world. AMG Chrome is a Gold Award holder of its Responsible Chromium Initiative, which recognises organisations which conduct their operations in an environmentally, socially and ethically responsible manner. AMG Chrome also holds the Ecovadis Gold Standard for its sustainability practices.
