AMG has installed a new Bipel Press in our UK facility to increase capacity in the high quality Chrome market. The press has been installed in the UK facility, and in combination with the 6th Furnace recently installed, AMG will continue to tackle the ever growing demand globally for HPD.
The product range for the press will include all grades of high purity degassed chromium:
- High Purity Degassed Cr Standard Grade
- High Purity Degassed Cr, Low Nitrogen (15ppmN)
- High Purity Degassed Cr, Low Sulfur (10ppm S)
- High Purity Degassed Cr, Ultra Low Sulfur (5ppmS)
- High Purity Degassed Cr, Low Vanadium
- High Purity Degassed Cr, Low FeFurnace
Jack Greenwood, AMG Chrome’s Process manager for Vacuum Furnaces was quoted saying, “I’m proud to share that we’re further expanding our HPD capacity here at AMG Chrome with the installation of a new 125-tonne Bipel Press.
