AMG Chrome US LLC, a facility in New Castle, PA, has increased its production capabilities due to investment from AMG.
AMG Chrome US LLC is now fully equipped for second step vacuum degassing of chromium metal with powder blending, briquette pressing and multiple vacuum degassing lines (furnaces are also equipped with special atmosphere capability for ultra low sulfur production). The facility also has its own test house but is also backed up by the AMG Chrome test house in the UK.
The product range will include all grades of high purity degassed chromium:
- High Purity Degassed Cr Standard Grade
- High Purity Degassed Cr, Low Nitrogen (15ppm N)
- High Purity Degassed Cr, Low Sulfur (10ppm S)
- High Purity Degassed Cr, Ultra Low Sulfur (5ppm S)
- High Purity Degassed Cr, Low Vanadium
- High Purity Degassed Cr, Low Fe
All the chromium powder feed for processing is prepared at AMG Chrome in the UK.
Product sales are organized via the AMG Chrome US sales team in the US at the AMG corporate office in Wayne PA.
