AMG Chrome has now procured a 6th furnace at our UK plant which will continue to further uplift tonnage in the high quality Chrome market. The furnace will increase capacity for second step vacuum degassing of Chromium metal. The furnace is currently on site and will be installed in Q1 and online in Q2. With vacuum furnaces running in the USA and a 6th furnace in the UK facility, AMG expands its footprint to support a continuously growing high purity market.
The product range for the furnace will include all grades of high purity degassed chromium:
- High Purity Degassed Cr Standard Grade
- High Purity Degassed Cr, Low Nitrogen (15ppmN)
- High Purity Degassed Cr, Low Sulfur (10ppm S)
- High Purity Degassed Cr, Ultra Low Sulfur (5ppmS)
- High Purity Degassed Cr, Low Vanadium
- High Purity Degassed Cr, Low FeFurnace
